“CROSSFADE” : verb kraws–feyd, kros-; noun kraws-feyd, kros-] Movies, Television.
verb (used with object), cross-faded, cross-fading.
noun
Crossfading is a technical term used in the music and film industry to describe the act of transitioning from one image or sound to another in a seamless move.
As Jesus’ disciples, our lives are a series of transitions connected by the Cross of Christ. The quality and impact of our lives is dependent upon God’s blessing, the Power of The Holy Spirit in our lives and our effective use of the resources and opportunities he places before us.
Jesus’ ministry is very much the same. During this time in His life, He faced the greatest transition of his ministry as he moved toward the awful and but glorious “opportunity” that lay ahead, the Cross. Only now is he ready to let folks call him Son of God, Son of the Righteous One, because he will forever redefine what it means to be Messiah, Christ, Son of God, and Savior.
Join us over the next three weeks as we look at the Crossfades in Jesus’ life and ministry, power and position as, to quote an oldie but goodie, “He came from Heaven to earth to show the way, from the earth to the cross my debts to pay, from the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky”!
