Elder and Pastor Ordination

The Lord was present during this special ordination service for elders Jim Roach, Eddie Roach and Kenny Stowe. Also the ordination of Rev. Darrell Burkett to the gospel ministry. Praise be to God. Keep these men of faith in your prayers as they serve the Lord.

For the last 25 years, See You at the Pole has been about one simple act—prayer. SYATP is student led and student directed and is all about students uniting themselves in prayer before God interceding for their generation.

SEE YOU AT THE POLE is on Wednesday, September 28. Times will vary by school. (Most are around 7 or 7:30 AM).  All around the globe, in every time zone, students will be gathering at their flagpoles, praying for their school, friends, families, churches, and communities. SEE YOU AT THE POLE is a day committed to global unity in Christ and prayer for your generation.

You are invited to help us serve the students of Mount Holly Elementary School through songs and snacks or feel free to visit any school and pray along with the students.

Outbreak Easter Series Kicks-off this Sunday! “CROSSFADE”

“CROSSFADE” : verb krawsfeydkros-; noun kraws-feyd, kros-] Movies, Television.

verb (used with object), cross-faded, cross-fading.

  1. to fade out (an image or sound) while simultaneously fading in a different image or sound.

noun

  1. an act or instance of cross-fading.

Crossfading is a technical term used in the music and film industry to describe the act of transitioning from one image or sound to another in a seamless move.

As Jesus’ disciples, our lives are a series of transitions connected by the Cross of Christ. The quality and impact of our lives is dependent upon God’s blessing, the Power of The Holy Spirit in our lives and our effective use of the resources and opportunities he places before us.

Jesus’ ministry is very much the same. During this time in His life, He faced the greatest transition of his ministry as he moved toward the awful and but glorious “opportunity” that lay ahead, the Cross. Only now is he ready to let folks call him Son of God, Son of the Righteous One, because he will forever redefine what it means to be Messiah, Christ, Son of God, and Savior.

Join us over the next three weeks as we look at the Crossfades in Jesus’ life and ministry, power and position as, to quote an oldie but goodie, “He came from Heaven to earth to show the way, from the earth to the cross my debts to pay, from the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky”!

Christmas Breakfast Sunday Morning

Scott CarrollChristmas is coming the goose is getting fat! WHAT? You know that’s right! Just a reminder… we will be serving breakfast this Sunday at 9:30 before our service. Please come and bring a friend! You don’t need to bring anything… just enjoy the food and fun.

During our service, we’ll be looking at some psalms that are found elsewhere in the Scriptures. Music plays such a great role in the Hebrew culture we would not do the topic justice if we didn’t look into these heartfelt melodies.

Hey…  look through your Bible and see if you can find at least three songs that are not located in the book of Psalms.

Cindy and I love you with all our hearts and consider it an honor to serve alongside you and your family!

See ya Sunday!
